Edwards & Hardy Roofing has been providing roof treatment and maintenance services since 1959 and we are totally committed to supporting homeowners in maintaining their properties. This longstanding and special relationship has often resulted in Edwards & Hardy helping the communities that it is active in. In 2017 Edwards & Hardy began documenting this support.
In 2012, when the badly leaking Decramastic roof on Mangere’s Mataatua Marae needed to be replaced, in advance of their 30th anniversary, Edwards & Hardy supported the Mangere community with the pro bono installation of the Marae’s roof.
In February 2018 Cyclone Gita caused severe damage throughout Tonga and was reported as the worst storm to hit the country since records began. In response Edwards & Hardy arranged, with the support of Steel & Tube, for 4 tonne of roofing materials to be sent to Nuku’alofa.
In January 2019 Edwards & Hardy held a Summer Backyard competition as a thank you to its community and customers. The winner of the Outdoor BBQ set and Back Yard package was Darrin Robertson from Auckland.
Edwards & Hardy have been active supporters of the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter since 2007.
Edwards & Hardy have been active supporters of the Waimarama Surf Clube since 2010.
In 2016 Edwards & Hardy Roofing partnered with NZ Steel and Steel & Tube in providing The Block, “Girls vs Boys”, with their roofing and guttering requirements.
In 2017 Edwards & Hardy Roofing provided The Block, “Side X Side”, with their roofing and guttering requirements.
In 2018 Edwards & Hardy’s nine Branch’s held various activities, in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation, in support of Blue September. The Auckland Branch’s contribution involved a Mufti Monday and Tool Box team meeting. At the Tool Box meeting a much valued member of the Team, who has been with the business since 1979, shared his personal experiences in regards to this health issue.
The Christchurch Branch’s contribution to Blue September involved a fund raising Sports Day, BBQ and Awards Ceremony.
In 2018 the Auckland Branch held a Pink Friday and fund-raising raffle in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation and Pink October.
Edwards & Hardy’s Hamilton Branch raised the bar with a home baked morning tea in support of Pink October.
In 2018 the Auckland Branch held a Loud Shirt Friday in support of Movember and Men’s Health issues.
In 2018 Edwards & Hardy provided entry fees support to the Deanwell Junior and Senior Jump Jam teams, both of which won Excellence in Sportsmanship. Edwards & Hardy recognises and celebrates the wonderful fun and confidence that the children would have gained from their Jump Jam routine and success.
In 2017 Edwards & Hardy provided team uniforms to the Under 10 Waikato Girls Touch team, who were Silver Medallists in the Northern Interprovincial Series in Rotorua. Edwards & Hardy takes particular satisfaction out of being able to support children in being active in the community.
In 2018 Edwards & Hardy supported Gary, Sean, Simon and Sue in their 100km Oxfam Trail Walker challenge. The Oxfam challenge is for a worthy cause and the team finished in the top 10, in this physically demanding event.
In January 2019 the Auckland Branch held a fund raising mufti Friday in support of the Starship Children’s Hospital. The Mufti Friday also coincided with the 40th birthday celebrations of one of its team members.
In February 2019 the Auckland Branch held a fund raising mufti day in support of the Heart Foundation.
Edwards & Hardy regularly contributes to various programs supporting families and children in in need.
